The adventure begins …

… already in Munich. As my day of departure was also the day to handover my apartment and to have my last working day. So the whole day from 6am onwards was pretty organized. So a flight delay of 2 hours was very good as I could do some phone calls before leaving the country for 6 month.

On the flight I had again a great neighbour, this time from Finland with a passion for sailing. After a while we figured out that we are doing very similar work and I explained him Scrum on two Finnair napkins πŸ™‚

Arriving in Finland at midnight just after a winter storm at -7Β°C the real adventure begins. Normally a 30min drive to my friends place it took me 4 hours to get there, including 1 hour trying to catch a taxi in Helsinki city center (not a good idea if they have christmas work parties everywhere) and then queueing for 80min to finally catch a cab at 3:40am.

After a long hot shower and a good long sleep I explored snowy Helsinki and Espoo and catching up with friends. Here some first impressions from Finland:
